About this job

As an Engineer you will specialise in plumbing and heating to manage and maintain these services and systems at sites within the property portfolio.

Working in our varied commercial and residential properties as part of a small team within the Facilities and Services department supporting the plumbing and heating services.

Familiarity with creating and completing all required maintenance documentation and updates on our electronic systems.

This will include creating written job plans and technical reports.

As part of the team, you will support the department's on-call rota, including any pre-planned works and responding to equipment issues.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out maintenance routines.
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults on a wide variety of plant including water heaters, calorifiers, motors, circulating heating pumps, vented and unvented systems, boilers, fans, drives, ground and air source heating systems.
  • Ensuring all health and safety obligations are met and coordinated with the project delivery team.
  • Ensuring sites are maintained in a clean manner at all times.
  • Producing, managing and maintaining critical spares lists.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Level 3 NVQ certificate in Mechanical Engineering Services Plumbing.
  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Domestic Plumbing and Heating (Gas Fired Water & Central Heating Appliances) 600/1134/8 (6189-33).
  • CENWAT Certification and CCN 1 (Domestic) Gas Safe Certificate.
  • Knowledge of LEV systems is beneficial.
  • Certified in unvented heating systems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting installations, fault finding, and repairs.
  • Awareness of risk assessment and working safely with electronic test equipment.
  • Ability to follow work instructions, read and interpret technical diagrams whilst reporting technical information as required.
  • Possession of a full UK driving licence is essential.
