Job Description
Technology Operations Senior Manager

We are scaling our global technology operations to deliver highly available, secure, and efficient services. As a Technology Operations Senior Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping our evolving operations organization while leading core technology operations capabilities. This leader will initially oversee select operational domains and own the development and execution of operational strategy for those areas, partnering closely with senior technology leaders to define the future state operating model, team structure, and investment priorities. Flexibility, systems thinking, and strong leadership judgment will be essential as teams, scope, and responsibilities evolve alongside the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define, articulate, and evolve operational strategy for foundational technology services, aligning near term execution with long term business and technology outcomes.
  • Translate enterprise technology and business strategy into clear operating models, including capability roadmaps, staffing approaches, and investment priorities.
  • Partner with senior leaders to shape the future state technology operations organization, including scope boundaries, accountability models, and engagement patterns across teams.
  • Demonstrate a disciplined, relentless focus on operational rigor, reliability, and strategic execution across cloud and on premise platforms.
  • Lead and evolve multiple technology operations capabilities, adapting scope and structure as the organization matures.
  • Drive adoption of AI enabled and automation first practices to reduce operating costs, decrease reliance on third party providers, and scale repeatable processes.
  • Promote a data driven operations model, using metrics, telemetry, and insights to inform decision making and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate calm, confident leadership during high severity incidents, including incident command and executive level communication.
  • Drive operations cost optimization and efficiency across the portfolio.
  • Establish and reinforce resilience, recoverability, and sustainability as non negotiable standards and influence peers to adopt similar practices.
  • Ensure adherence to IT Service Management (ITSM) standards and processes (Event, Incident, Problem, Change, etc.).
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a geographically distributed leadership team, strengthening operational maturity and leadership depth.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Cultivate a proactive, forward looking operations mindset that minimizes outage risk through anticipation rather than reaction.
  • Contribute meaningfully to a globally aligned technology operations strategy, influencing direction beyond immediate areas of responsibility.
  • Manage operational and strategic investment budgets, delivery timelines, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with Vendor Management to build and maintain strong relationships with critical third party vendors and SaaS providers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience managing global teams and complex operational environments.
  • Strong strategic thinking with experience developing and executing operational strategy tied to long term business objectives.
  • Experience shaping operating models, defining scope, roles, and decision boundaries in evolving organizations.
  • Proven ability to lead high stakes incidents with composure, clarity, and executive presence.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise IT operations, including ITIL frameworks and regulatory/compliance requirements.
  • Track record of delivering modernization, automation, and data driven operational outcomes.
  • Ability to develop adaptive staffing and capability plans aligned to evolving organizational needs.
  • Trusted advisor to senior leaders, capable of influencing priorities and investment decisions.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Continuous learner with experience applying AI technologies to operational or business problems.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary, annual bonus, and profitability bonus.
  • Company funded retirement contribution of 15% of eligible earnings.
  • Generous time away and health benefits from day one.
  • Flexible work options.
  • 2 for 1 matching gifts for charitable contributions.
  • Opportunity for annual grants to chosen charitable organizations.
  • Access to on demand professional development resources.
  • Advanced technology and tools, including AI enabled practices.
