Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and operate core Azure infrastructure across networking, identity, compute, and storage within a single-tenant SaaS model.
  • Improve platform scalability, governance, and reliability while embedding Infrastructure as Code as the default approach.
  • Own and evolve shared CI/CD platform capabilities, including build, test, security scanning, and deployment strategies.
  • Enable progressive delivery patterns such as blue/green, canary, and automated rollback approaches.
  • Create reusable templates, paved roads, and standardised engineering patterns that accelerate safe product delivery.
  • Reduce operational toil through automation and standardisation, addressing root causes rather than recurring symptoms.
  • Expand self service capabilities that allow product teams to provision and deploy independently within clear guardrails.
  • Provide and evolve shared observability capabilities, including logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
  • Design platform resilience, performance, and availability capabilities, supporting SLO definition and error budget practices.
  • Embed security by design, including identity, secrets management, least privilege access, policy enforcement, and vulnerability management.
  • Contribute clear documentation, platform standards, and engineering guidance that improve adoption and consistency.
Requirements
  • Strong experience building and operating Azure based cloud platforms in production environments.
  • Deep understanding of cloud networking, identity, governance, and Azure PaaS services.
  • Proven Infrastructure as Code expertise using Terraform, Bicep, or similar tooling.
  • Experience with containerisation and orchestration concepts in modern cloud environments.
  • Strong CI/CD pipeline design and release engineering experience, including progressive delivery and rollback strategies.
  • Practical experience implementing observability solutions, including logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
  • Solid understanding of reliability practices, incident response, SLOs, and error budgets.
  • Strong grasp of identity and access management concepts (OAuth2 / OIDC), secrets management, least privilege principles, and secure supply chain practices.
  • Strong scripting and automation capability (PowerShell, Bash, Python or similar).
  • Experience working with Git based workflows and peer reviewed infrastructure changes.
  • Ability to write clear technical documentation and define platform standards that enable adoption at scale.
