We know that everyone here at Veolia can help us work alongside our communities, look after the environment, and contribute to our inclusive culture.What we can offer you;25 days of annual leave plus bank holidaysAccess to our company/people's pension schemeDiscounts on everything from groceries to well known retailersAccess to a range of resources to support your physical, mental and financial health; so you can lean on us whenever you need to24 hour access to a virtual GP, 365 days a year, for you and family members in your householdOne paid days leave every year to volunteer and support your communityOngoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potentialWhat you'll be doing;Supervise daily operations of the Road Sweeping Plant to produce high-quality recycled products through effective decision-making and task delegationEnsure shift personnel perform duties efficiently and safely in compliance with company RAMS, safe systems of work, and local operating proceduresOversee coordination of machinery and equipment cleaning programmes and conduct essential machinery and plant checksManage waste and product flows and associated traffic management systemsLiaise with all operational departments to organize safe collection inputs and coordinate acceptance and processing of loadsCoordinate the collection and delivery of end products from the Road Sweeping PlantIdentify and requisition parts needed for plant maintenance and operationsPrepare and submit monthly tonnage reportsWhat we're looking for;Previous supervisory experience in a similar operational environment with ability to work collaboratively with other teams to maximize throughput and outputSelf-motivated with strong relationship-building skills and ability to perform effectively in highly pressurized environmentsIOSH Managing Safely certification or equivalent qualification requiredComprehensive knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation and safe working systemsExcellent communication and organizational skills with proven ability to coach and motivate team membersIT literate with proficiency in Microsoft packages and SCADA systemsExperience in washing/aggregate recovery operations and mobile plant operationLoading Shovel and Tele-handler licenses desirable but not essentialFull UK driving licence essentialWhat's next?Apply today, so we can make a difference for generations to come.We're proud to have been named as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work for three consecutive years in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
