Planning Consultant (Planner)

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + up to 10% employer pension contribution, 30 days annual leave, and annual professional fees paid

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role

We're looking for a dynamic and motivated Planning Consultant (Planner) to join a growing consultancy team delivering a wide range of planning projects across both the public and private sectors. You'll be involved in everything from initial strategy to securing planning permission for residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use developments.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing planning consultancy and strategic advice to a diverse client base
• Conducting planning appraisals, managing pre application discussions, and coordinating the preparation of planning applications
• Offering technical and procedural advice to add value and problem solve
• Supporting public consultation strategies
• Liaising with clients, sub consultants, public bodies, and internal teams
• Assisting in the financial management of projects including invoicing and budgeting
• Mentoring junior team members where appropriate

Requirements

• MRTPI or working towards chartership
• 2+ years of professional experience in town planning, ideally within a consultancy environment
• Experience working on a variety of planning application types (minor/major, residential/commercial) is desirable
• Strong client facing skills and the ability to represent the consultancy with professionalism
