We're currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Planning and Support Manager.
You'll provide key support to the Customer Director and the wider Customer Services leadership team. This role sits at the heart of the Customer Services function, helping ensure we operate efficiently through strong governance, clear communication and effective planning. This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll gain a strong understanding of how the business operates and play an active role in shaping the future of Customer Services at first direct.

In this role you will:- Provide 1:1 support to the Customer Director, helping manage priorities, actions and delivery across Customer Services
- Support effective governance across Customer Services, including ownership and coordination of leadership forums, papers, actions and decision logs
- Drive great communication across the Customer Service Leadership team. Running regular team meeting, monthly all leader call; In Life Connect, and leader exchange sessions
- Help develop and maintain the Customer Services business strategy, supporting analysis, insight and planning activity
- Support the delivery of change and improvement activity, ensuring plans are well communicated and aligned to risk and control requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve ways of working, simplify processes and strengthen business effectiveness
- Has a strong understanding of first direct's strategy and how Customer Services fits within it
- Enjoys getting to the root cause of problems and finding practical, effective solutions
- Has strong analytical skills and is comfortable working with data and insight
- Can build strong relationships quickly and work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Is confident communicating complex topics clearly - whether face to face, virtually or in writing
- Has strong PowerPoint knowledge
- Can work independently, showing ownership and accountability for delivery
