As part of our partnership with Openreach, which operates the UK's largest fibre broadband network, we are committed to delivering quarterly target homes passed (THP) in numerous areas.
JOB OBJECTIVEAs a Planner, you will be responsible for planning and issuing jobs to field teams, organising delivery schedules, and ensuring that installations progress as expected and are completed on time. The role supports the Planning team within the allocated department, contributing to the successful delivery of telecoms projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Answer queries from clients in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate and schedule civils-related tasks into the existing BT network.
- Manage client requests across all aspects of the project, escalating issues to the Programme Manager as required.
- Ensure all engineers are organised and have the relevant site access and job packs for their allocated jobs.
- Manage external design partners to ensure designs are delivered within agreed quality standards and timelines.
- Carry out quality checks of designs submitted by design partners and provide relevant feedback.
- Implement design guidelines throughout the business to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Work closely with Regional Build Managers to support business KPIs and targets.
- Support build contractors throughout the duration of the project, including managing and responding to design change requests.
- Support other business functions with design data requests.
- Carry out occasional site surveys to support planning and build activities.
- Implement and drive quality control processes.
- Maintain and build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues, customers, suppliers, and senior management teams.
- Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.
- Communicate effectively with all other departments.
- Strong planning, organisation, and monitoring abilities.
- Strong administration skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate with engineers daily.
- Ability to organise workload and prioritise tasks accordingly.
- Computer literate.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong orientation towards quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to prioritise work, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage business expectations.
- Adaptable and flexible approach to work.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Telecoms knowledge and scheduling experience.

- Rate of Pay: £24,785-£26,000
