Our cutting-edge approach to simulator design delivers more data about vehicle dynamics and ride to drivers and passengers with less latency and more accurately than any other motion simulators available.

The Role

The Planner supports the wider Planning Team and Project Managers in developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules for the company's motion simulator programmes. The role focuses on accurate schedule control, progress reporting, and coordination between engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and integration teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Responsibilities

Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop, maintain, and baseline detailed project schedules (WBS-level) covering all simulator development phases - concept, design, procurement, fabrication, assembly, integration, testing, and site installation.
  • Update schedules with actual progress data, task completions, and revised forecasts.
  • Support coordination of dependencies between mechanical, electrical, software, and control systems teams.
  • Monitor your own schedule progress and provide early warning of deviations, proposing recovery or mitigation actions, and communicate impacts to the Lead Planner and Project Managers.
  • Lead regular schedule review meetings with Project Managers and Technical Leads.

Reporting & Communication

  • Prepare regular schedule updates, progress reports, and dashboards for project reviews.
  • Support the Lead Planner in developing performance indicators (e.g. schedule variance, SPI).
  • Liaise with all stakeholders to collect progress updates and confirm task status.
  • Support internal and customer-facing schedule presentations or progress meetings as required.

Bid & Change Support

  • Assist in producing outline and tender schedules for new opportunities or contract changes.
  • Update project baseline plans to reflect approved changes under the Lead Planner's direction.

Process & Tools

  • Maintain accuracy and consistency of schedule data in Planning Software.
  • Follow standard planning processes and contribute to continuous improvement within the PMO.
  • Ensure all activities comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
  • Promote sustainable practices that align with corporate social responsibility goals.
  • Comply with all health and safety policies and report any hazards or incidents promptly, leading by example.
