Our client is a global leader in the nuclear energy industry.
The Role & KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAs a Planner for a high-profile project, you will:
- Create, monitor, and analyse the Level 2 (Full project duration) / Level 3 schedule (12-18 months term) on the allocated engineering scope in accordance with standard of best project practice.
- Monitor project progress, including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts and progress achieved to date.
- Provide permanent support to project and technical teams in the optimisation of their schedules integrating also the constraints of the customer / suppliers.
- Identify interfaces at the assigned perimeter, and ensure that they are properly connected to other perimeters.
- Analyse activities on the critical path to identify the possible impact of delays, analyse deviations and propose appropriate actions to project managers.
- Follow up on project milestones, alert in case of delays and participate in the definition of the recovery plan.
- Participate in the calculation of physical progress and Earned Value Management and analyse the results.
- Take part in the quantification of planning impacts in the event of changes in the scope of the contract.
- Contribute to periodic planning reports and KPI's analysis.
- Work closely with the L4 schedulers to link these levels that are in different tools.
- Actively participates in the planning community.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of methods & tools.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree is mandatory, Master's degree is desirable
- Engineering or technical background
- Experience in project management field including experience in scheduling
- Experience of Primavera P6 or at least another scheduling tool (MS project/Planisware)
- Understanding of Civil Work, Layout and Electro-mechanical engineering sequence of activities
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication (written and spoken) and presentation skills
- Self-motivated, initiative and ability to work as part of a team
- Customer oriented and ability to interact with various levels of stakeholders
- French - bonus
