Job Description
Placement and Work Experience Team Leader

We are seeking a talented Placement and Work Experience Team Leader to lead our expanding provision of placement and work experience opportunities.

This is a newly created leadership role, working closely with a Placement and Opportunities Manager, reflecting the University's commitment to ensuring every student has access to meaningful workplace experiences that enhance their learning, employability and future success.

Based within Careers and Futures, you will lead the development and delivery of the University's non-PSRB placement and work experience portfolio, working across faculties and professional services to increase student participation in high-quality, work-related learning. You will manage a dedicated team and play a critical role in shaping the strategy, systems and partnerships that underpin an outstanding student placement experience.

You will build and strengthen employer relationships, work collaboratively with academic colleagues to embed work-placements within programmes, and ensure students receive high-quality support throughout their placement journey. You will also use data and insight to drive continuous improvement, enhance student outcomes and support institutional ambitions around graduate success and employability.

We are looking for a natural leader with a track record of developing employability, placement, careers or student success initiatives within higher education or a related sector. You will bring excellent stakeholder management skills, experience of leading teams and projects, and the ability to influence and collaborate across a complex organisation.

This is a unique opportunity to shape a growing area of the University's provision, lead a growing function and make a lasting impact on the student experience.

Join us and help create transformative opportunities that prepare students for successful futures.
