Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced PI Engineer to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing program in Switzerland. You will be responsible for managing the integration, configuration, and maintenance of the OSIsoft PI System, supporting MES, SCADA, and ERP data flow across production environments.
You'll work closely with IT, automation, and manufacturing stakeholders to ensure Real Time operational data is captured, visualized, and optimized to meet compliance and performance objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain OSIsoft PI infrastructure (Data Archive, AF, PI Vision)
- Develop interfaces between PI and MES/ERP/SCADA systems
- Configure PI tags, templates, and asset hierarchies in PI Asset Framework (AF)
- Enable production and quality teams with operational dashboards and reporting tools
- Collaborate with validation teams to ensure GxP compliance (CSV support)
- Support troubleshooting, documentation, and training across plants
- Work with central/global teams to align with enterprise data strategy
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a PI System or Data Engineer in manufacturing environments
- Strong hands-on experience with OSIsoft PI components (AF, Vision, Notifications)
- Background in pharmaceutical, biotech, or chemical manufacturing
- Knowledge of OPC, SCADA, PLC, and MES interfaces (Werum PAS-X or Siemens Opcenter a plus)
- Understanding of GxP and validated systems
- Strong communication and documentation skills in German and English
- Swiss or EU work permit highly desirable
