Spire Little Aston is seeking a Physiotherapy Inpatient Team Lead to join our Physio Department. This role is suitable for candidates with previous experience or those seeking the next step in their career.

Located in the Midlands, Spire Little Aston Hospital offers comprehensive private healthcare to patients from Birmingham, the West Midlands, and Staffordshire. Our hospital is renowned for specialties including Orthopaedics, Sports & Exercise Medicine, Cosmetics, Ophthalmic, Gynaecology, General Surgery, and Physiotherapy.

Main duties of the job

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Developing managerial and clinical knowledge, supporting team members' professional growth
  • Promoting a safe, healthy, and secure working environment
  • Supporting equality, diversity, and patients' rights
  • Managing physical and financial resources effectively
  • Handling Human Resource activities for team members
  • Understanding and managing risks related to Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI)
  • Collaborating with specialist physiotherapists to set and monitor standards, ensuring best practices are followed and audited
  • Benchmarking physiotherapy practices against current trends and implementing improvements
  • Gathering and analyzing data to assess patient physiotherapy needs and promote wellbeing

Candidate requirements
  • BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy or equivalent
  • Registered with the HCPC
  • Experience in applying clinical reasoning across a range of patients, especially in Orthopaedics, within an inpatient setting
  • Experience in clinical leadership, supporting peers
  • Experience leading quality improvement and service development projects
