British Rowing and the UK Sports Institute have an exciting opportunity for a full time physiotherapist to lead the delivery with the Olympic Development squad and provide clinical support to the Senior Olympic and Paralympic squads at the GB Rowing Team (GBRT) National Training Centre in Caversham, Reading. We are seeking an experienced practitioner who has worked with high performance sporting teams.
LocationBritish Rowing operates out of a bespoke NTC in Caversham (near Reading) where athletes train on water and land while receiving world class coaching and support services. Due to the nature of the role, delivery will be in person to meet the sport's needs.

A typical week is Monday to Friday with a half day on Wednesday and rotations within the physiotherapy team supporting one Saturday every three weeks at the NTC. Domestic and international travel for camps and competitions is expected, totaling approximately 80 days spread throughout the year, in blocks of 5 16 days. We also use the High Performance Centre at the Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre for strength and conditioning sessions and specialist physiotherapy and rehabilitation services.
As part of the GBRT core daily delivery team, you will support athletes and staff towards the LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
ResponsibilitiesYou will guide aspects of prehabilitation and performance preparation throughout training and competition, providing muscle skeleton athlete health management and maintaining training adherence. You will collaborate with coaches and the interdisciplinary support team to design, execute, and assess physical health services for world class performance.
Qualifications and Experience- Experienced physiotherapist with evidence of work in high performance sporting environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively, be accessible, approachable, and visible within a high performance team.
- Passion for supporting athletes to achieve their performance aspirations.
