Job Description

Wehave an opportunity for an enthusiastic phlebotomist to join our friendly,teaching and training practice.

Main duties of the job

You should like meeting peopleand working as part of a team, putting people at ease, and be responsible andreliable. It is essential that you are careful, methodical and enjoy followingrules and procedures to carry out this role.

The role includes obtainingblood samples from patients and ensuring their safe delivery to the laboratoryfor testing.

Hoursare negotiable. Full-time or part-time. School hours considered.

Job responsibilities

We are looking for a Phlebotomist todraw blood, test samples and send samples to the lab. This is a rewarding jobwhich enables you to meet and help members of the local community

One of the most important phlebotomistjob duties is to properly identify patients and correctly use phlebotomymethods (e.g. venepuncture, skin Puncture). We will rely on you to preserve patientconfidentiality and quality of samples.

Person Specification Experience
  • Experience in phlebotomy is essential
Qualifications
  • Qualified in Phlebotomy
  • Qualified to NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care
