PhD: Supramolecular Hosts for CWA Capture & Decomposition

University of Birmingham is offering a fully funded PhD three-year studentship in the School of Chemistry in collaboration with the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl).

The project focuses on supramolecular host systems for capturing and catalysing the decomposition of chemical warfare agents, using a mix of classical and quantum mechanics simulations, cheminformatics and machine learning. Stipend £26k/year, home student rate, with conference/travel funds.
