Pharmacy Technician Cancer Care

Job Overview

We are looking for organised and motivated registered pharmacy technicians to join our cancer pharmacy team. You will assist the pharmacists and senior pharmacy technicians in providing patient focused quality pharmaceutical care to cancer patients receiving chemotherapy at the Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Assist in aseptic preparation of anti cancer medicines.
• Dispense pre filled IV and oral medicines.
• Support the oncology clinic and inpatient areas with cancer medicine related tasks.
• Participate in weekend and public holiday rotas.
• Maintain high quality service and minimise medicines wastage.
• Work closely with the multidisciplinary team, especially the chemotherapy nursing team, to ensure timely medicine delivery.

Hours and Schedule

The Agenda for Change full time week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week as of 1/4/26, with part time hours proportionally adjusted. Weekend and public holiday rotations are required.

Required Qualifications

• Registered pharmacy technician.
• Member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
