Pharmacy Technician/ ACT/ QA

Pharmacy Technician / Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) A growing UK laboratory is seeking a detail-oriented Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) to support the safe and compliant manufacture of pharmaceutical products. Working closely with the Lab Manager and Compounding Pharmacist, you will play a key role in ensuring treatments are produced to the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities

• Perform accuracy and quality checks on manufactured batches against specifications
• Verify calculations, raw material data, and electronic batch records
• Investigate manufacturing deviations and non-conformances
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for failed batches or near misses
• Conduct quality checks on incoming raw materials and equipment
• Maintain accurate batch documentation and SOPs
• Assist with internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance activities
• Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Accredited Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) qualification
• Active registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Knowledge of GMP and regulated laboratory environments
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and documentation skills
• Experience with quality systems, near miss reporting, and process improvement
• Buttercups mentoring experience (desirable)
