Pharmacy Technician - Coolock

Job Overview

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team in our Hickey's Northside pharmacy in Coolock. This is a 40 hour (5 day) permanent position with store opening hours of 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and closed on Sundays. The team currently comprises a Retail Store Manager, a Supervising Pharmacist, 1 Support, 1 Relief, and 6 Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• Prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist in a caring and professional manner.
• Control stock levels and order medicines as determined by store requirements.
• Prepare blister packs and process and track claims.
• Report to and support the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

Requirements

• Experience working in a busy dispensary is an advantage, but newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.
• Experience with McLernons MPS is an advantage.
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies is an advantage.
