Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Manager to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Wormwood Scrubs, a category B Prison located in West London.

Hours

The site currently offers a 24-hour service and shift patterns. Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm with some adhoc weekends required.

Salary

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £52,790 per annum depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Pharmacy Manager, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Be involved in the planning, organisation and delivery of all pharmacy operational services including dispensary services and treatment rooms.
  • Lead the team of pharmacy support workers in the day to day provision of pharmacy services.
  • Work with the Pharmacist to ensure the service is represented by staff in a professional manner at all times.
  • Promote a safe service and work closely with all Prison Healthcare Team members to meet the needs of patients

  • GPhC registered Pharmacist Technician
  • Available to newly qualified pharmacists and beyond
  • Management and leadership experience
  • Procurement and audit experience (desirable).
  • Relevant post qualifying experience working within a pharmacy environment.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
