OverviewTPF Recruitment, a leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is partnering with a highly regarded firm of chartered accountants in Chatham, Kent, to find a Personal Tax Manager for their successful tax team.

While there is a bias towards personal tax, there is also an opportunity to get involved in corporate tax too, subject to your experience and aspirations. Both full time and part time applicants will be considered.
Responsibilities- Managing a portfolio of personal clients with complex tax affairs, including UK individuals, HNWIs, and some trusts.
- Leading tax planning projects, covering non domicile issues, onshore and offshore trusts, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax matters.
- Reviewing and completing complex tax returns.
- Overseeing the compliance function within the team to ensure deadlines are met.
- Handling HMRC enquiries and correspondence on both compliance and advisory matters.
- Managing and mentoring junior staff, supporting their technical and professional development.
- Assisting Directors with the growth and strategic development of the tax department.
- Ideally CTA and/or ATT/ACA/ACCA qualified, with a personal tax career within an accountancy practice or specialist tax firm.
- Experience in Top Tier, Top Ten, Regionally independent firms or specialist tax firms, with a strong focus on personal tax compliance and tax planning.
- Proven ability to manage complex tax affairs and lead planning projects.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and client service skills.
- Salary range: £55,000 £70,000.
