- Managing a portfolio of Employer's Liability (EL) claims from initial instruction through to final resolution.
- Undertaking comprehensive legal research and delivering clear, well-reasoned legal advice to clients.
- Drafting and preparing key legal documentation, including pleadings and witness statements.
- Negotiating settlements and representing clients at court hearings where required.
- Operating effectively within a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve successful case outcomes.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, legal developments, and regulatory changes.
- A proven track record of billing while managing a litigated caseload.
- Demonstrates strong determination and resilience in progressing cases.
- Committed to advancing claims through litigation where appropriate to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
- Ability to manage Employer's Liability (EL) fast-track cases. While the caseload is predominantly non-portal, experience working with the portal is required.
- Solid knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules, legal precedents, and current litigation trends, with the ability to apply this knowledge strategically to secure favourable results for clients.
- Demonstrable experience handling litigated matters from initial instruction through applications and procedural challenges to trial or final disposal hearings.
- Previous experience using the Proclaim case management system would be advantageous.
