Personal Assistants (Support Workers) play a vital role at Enable, supporting individuals with learning disabilities to achieve their goals and outcomes.

Each person we support has different support requirements, so your role may include assisting with personal care, moving and handling, and positive behavioural support as well as expanding their social networks.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with various aspects of personal care and daily living activities.
• Provide moving and handling support, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Deliver positive behavioural support to promote independence.
• Support individuals with personal support plans to achieve goals and celebrate successes.
• Work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications and Requirements

• No prior care experience required; we recruit based on values and transferable skills.
• Ability to adapt communication style to build positive relationships.
• Commitment to working with individuals through their personal support plans.
• Positive and flexible outlook, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
