Location: Linlithgow, West Lothian. Shifts can take place at home or at other locations as required (e.g., holiday, university, or other activities away from home).
Pay: £14.81 per hour
Hours: Permanent and temporary roles available with contracted weekly hours 12-48. Specific shifts may vary depending on support needs.

We are looking for female Personal Assistants to join a small, dedicated team providing full time support for a young woman with a physical disability. The role is varied and person led, helping her live independently and take charge of her day to day life.
This is a flexible role with opportunities for part time and full time work. From September, support may be required both at home and within a university setting. Some shifts may include overnight or longer shift support, depending on individual availability. Shifts are available to start anytime between now and August, to allow for training and handover before university support begins.
About the young womanShe is 17, friendly, ambitious and determined. She makes all decisions about her day to day life and enjoys living each day the way she chooses. Her interests include music, fashion, art, spending time with friends, and relaxing with Netflix.
DutiesYour role is to support her to live her life as independently as possible. While each day may be different and led by her, key duties may include:
- Providing personal care and assistance with daily routines
- Supporting eating, drinking, and meal preparation
- Using equipment safely and assisting with movement as required
- Enabling participation in day to day activities, social life, and leisure
- Providing support in a variety of settings (home, university, holidays, and elsewhere as needed)
- Day and/or overnight support
- Light household tasks
- Person led medication support

A full UK driving licence is essential (confidence driving a larger/adapted vehicle or willingness to learn is required)
Experience in care or support work is desirable.
Experience of moving and assisting is desirable.
- Hours are contracted, though specific shift times may vary depending on support needs
- Support may include shifts away from the usual home address (e.g., university or holidays); travel to and from these locations will be covered
- Flexible shifts available to start anytime between now and August
- Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership required (cost covered)
- Paid holidays and pension included
