Are you interested in working for an award winning social care charity?
OverviewEnable creates a bespoke team around every individual we support. Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. You will be supporting someone with a learning disability to achieve their goals and outcomes - whatever they may be!
Responsibilities- Support people with a learning disability to achieve their goals and outcomes.
- Assist with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling, or positive behavioural support.
- Help expand social networks and connections; work with a collaborative team to ensure safety, wellbeing and aspirations are met.
- Support individuals to lead an independent life and access the community.
- Engage in activities and outings that align with the interests of the person supported (e.g., visits to the cinema, pub lunches).
- Support David, a person you may work with, to live his best life with dignity and respect.
David is a young man who lives at home with his mum. You would support David to lead an independent life and access the community. He enjoys working with animals (previously volunteered at a zoo), is bubbly and chatty, enjoys gaming, and likes going to the cinema and for pub lunches.
Requirements- No experience in care is required to start a social care career with Enable. We recruit people based on values and transferable skills.
- Commitment, dedication and a genuine desire to support David and others to get the most out of life.
- Willingness to work across different teams in the area.
