Personal Assistant - 12 Hours Per Week - Dunfermline (SDS/ST/351794)

We are looking for a companion for our client who is a happy and charming 28-year-old male with a learning disability and dyspraxia.

You will be helping our client to get out and about and enjoy his time during the week. This includes going to a café or to the cinema, or anything else you can think of. Our client loves going swimming so having an interest in this would be beneficial. Our client attends a drama class on Wednesdays, which you would also accompany him to.

Being patient, kind, trustful and understanding would be ideal to support our client in his activities. Our client also has Tourette's, which can manifest as tics. Our client can have some coordination issues so offering him an arm to hold to be helpful if out for a walk. Our client is very friendly so someone who is happy to chat would be ideal for this role.

Applicants must have a caring attitude, have a good sense of humour, be reliable with a positive and flexible approach to work. Being a driver would be of benefit but is not essential.

There is no personal care associated with this role.

This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
