Music and Drama Performing Arts Teacher
Location: Maidenhead, SL6 6AW
Hours: Full Time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Start Date: September 2026, October 2026 or January 2027
Are you an enthusiastic and passionate Performing Arts Teacher looking to inspire the next generation? We are seeking a talented Music and Drama Teacher to deliver engaging and inspiring Performing Arts education within a supportive and forward-thinking school environment.
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and flexible Music and Drama Performing Arts Teacher to join our committed and professional team. The successful candidate will deliver creative and engaging lessons across KS1, KS2 and KS3, with the ability to support KS4 and KS5 where required.
You will play a key role in developing pupils' confidence, creativity and performance skills, while supporting vocal and instrumental ensembles and helping to deliver exciting productions throughout the academic year.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Music and Drama lessons across KS1-KS3
- Support KS4 and KS5 teaching where required
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and creative lessons
- Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
- Support pupils of all abilities, including those with SEN and EAL needs
- Co-lead the junior production
- Encourage participation in performances, ensembles and wider school events
- Contribute to the school's co-curricular programme
Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Music and Drama across KS1-KS3
- Passionate about performing arts and inspiring pupil engagement
- Ideally able to support GCSE Music and Drama (A-Level Music Technology experience desirable)
- Strong communication, organisation and classroom management skills
- Enthusiastic team player with a flexible and proactive approach
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
Co-Curricular Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the wider life of the school by leading at least two after-school activities per week and supporting performances, productions and events.
