In this role, you'll be the driving force behind how we communicate internally. You'll work closely with leaders and teams across the organisation to make sure communication is clear, engaging and meaningful.

Some of the things you'll be doing include:

Bringing our story to life
  • Create and deliver engaging internal communication campaigns that connect employees with our strategy and culture
  • Turn business updates into clear, compelling stories that people actually want to read. Own internal messaging end-to-end-including content creation, campaign planning, and cadence across internal channels.
  • Monitor and evaluate internal communication effectiveness through engagement metrics, feedback loops, and pulse surveys, recommending improvements.
  • Develop and implement a company-wide internal communications strategy aligned with UBTC's strategic objectives and cultural priorities.
Creating engagement across the business
  • Drive initiatives that celebrate achievements, highlight employee stories, and encourage two-way feedback.
  • Use surveys, engagement data and feedback to continually improve how we communicate.
  • Enhance employee engagement through recognition initiatives, storytelling, and opportunities for two-way communication and feedback.
  • Leading Employee Value Proposition, including managing social platforms with engaging employee content
Partnering with leadership
  • Work closely with senior leaders to craft impactful messages, announcements, and company updates. Help leaders communicate with clarity, empathy, and authenticity
  • Support communication during organisational changes, transformation initiatives, and major projects
  • Ensure messaging is transparent, thoughtful and people-focused
Building great communication tools
  • Develop toolkits, templates and resources to help managers communicate effectively with their teams.
  • Manage and improve our internal communication channels such as Teams, intranet, email and updates.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in internal or corporate communications, preferably in transport, logistics, or another operationally complex sector.
  • Demonstrated experience managing internal campaigns and delivering messaging during periods of change and organisational transformation.
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, and editing skills with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently across all levels.
  • Proven ability to work closely with senior leadership and influence decision-making.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience using internal communication platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, employee intranets, or internal newsletters)
