Job Description

Akeso Healthsearch is looking for an experienced and proactive People & Talent Manager to join our growing team.

This is a broad, hands-on role combining HR and internal recruitment, with responsibility for supporting our people while also helping us attract and hire the talent we need as the business continues to grow.

Working directly with senior leadership, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day people function, from recruitment and onboarding through to employee engagement, performance, development and HR support.

As a small and ambitious business, we're looking for someone who enjoys variety, is comfortable taking ownership and can move easily between HR responsibilities and proactive recruitment.

What You'll Be Doing Talent Acquisition & Internal Recruitment
  • Take ownership of internal recruitment across the business.
  • Work with senior leadership to identify current and future hiring requirements.
  • Manage the full recruitment process from initial requirement through to successful hire.
  • Proactively source and headhunt prospective employees rather than relying solely on job applications.
  • Build and maintain strong pipelines of prospective future hires.
  • Use LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, our database, referrals, networking and direct approaches to identify talent.
  • Write and manage engaging job advertisements.
  • Screen and interview candidates and coordinate subsequent interview stages.
  • Manage candidate communication, feedback, offers and pre-start engagement.
  • Develop relationships with passive candidates who may be suitable for future opportunities.
  • Support and develop our employer brand and identify new ways to attract great people.
HR & People
  • Take ownership of day-to-day HR activities across the employee lifecycle.
  • Manage onboarding, inductions and probationary reviews.
  • Provide practical HR advice and support to employees and management.
  • Support performance management and employee development.
  • Drive employee engagement, retention and culture initiatives.
  • Identify training and development needs across the business.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures and employee documentation.
  • Provide guidance and support on Employee Relations matters when required.
  • Ensure HR practices remain aligned with Irish employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential HR records.
  • Support workforce planning and help identify the people and skills the business will need as it grows.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve our people processes and employee experience.
What We're Looking For

We're particularly interested in someone who brings a combination of HR and hands on recruitment experience.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • 3+ years' experience across HR, recruitment/talent acquisition, or a combination of both.
  • A relevant third level qualification in HR or a related discipline.
  • CIPD membership or qualification is advantageous but not essential.
  • Good working knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Hands on experience managing recruitment processes from sourcing through to successful hire.
  • Strong proactive sourcing and headhunting skills, including confidence approaching passive candidates.
  • Experience supporting managers on HR and people matters.
  • Experience across areas such as performance management, employee engagement, onboarding and Employee Relations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • Commercial awareness and sound judgement.
  • The confidence to work independently, use initiative and take ownership.
  • A proactive, approachable and solutions focused style.
  • The ability to work effectively in a small, fast paced and growing business.

Experience within a recruitment agency, staffing business or similarly fast paced environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

What We Offer
  • Additional annual leave for each year of service.
  • Paid birthday day off - an additional day of paid leave during your birthday month.
  • Employer pension contribution.
  • Private health insurance.
  • Ongoing professional development and training.
  • Support towards CIPD membership and professional development.
  • Regular team events and social activities.
Why Join Akeso Healthsearch?

You'll be joining a friendly, ambitious and growing business where your contribution will be visible and valued.

This isn't a narrowly defined HR or recruitment position. You'll have genuine ownership across People & Talent, giving you the opportunity to find great people, support them throughout their employee journey and help shape how we develop our culture and people practices as the business grows.

You'll work directly with senior leadership, have the autonomy to bring forward ideas and be able to see the impact of your work.

If you're an experienced people professional who enjoys both HR and recruitment and would like a varied role with genuine ownership and the opportunity to make it your own, we'd love to hear from you.
