People and Culture Coordinator

Support various People team functions, with a primary focus on recruitment, learning and development, HR systems and records, and employee engagement. Develop practical experience while completing all necessary training to achieve the CIPD Level 3 qualification.
Main duties of the jobAs an HR Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting a broad range of HR activities across the full employee lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include acting as a first point of contact for People-related queries, processing employee changes, supporting recruitment and onboarding, and maintaining accurate and compliant HR records and systems. Youll assist with coordinating training, tracking compliance, and supporting the delivery of personal development and appraisal processes. Additionally, youll contribute to employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and culture-focused projects that reflect our values and support a positive working environment. Job responsibilitiesResponsibilities:
Provide support and gain experience inthe following People activities:
HR Service Delivery
- Act as a point of contact for queries andrequests from divisional managers and team members. Where possible, respond toqueries or otherwise, take accurate details and pass to the appropriate teammember for response.
- Work positively with all People team members insupport of the core values and provide a flexible and responsive service.
- Assist with processing changes during theemployee lifecycle including amendments to hours, roles, salaries.
- Provide support for People projects andinitiatives, including organising meetings, circulating information and takingnotes.
- Provide administrative support to the Head ofPeople and Culture and the People Business Partners.
Recordsand Systems
- Contribute to thedevelopment and updating of the computerised HR information system so thatinformation is current and easily accessible.
- Ensure that allinformation is stored and processed in accordance with Data Protection and Confidentialityrequirements.
- Provide reports fromthe system including those relating to HR trends and KPIs.
- Ensure that policies,procedures, handbooks and other documents are readily available on the systemand source them when required.
- Work collaborativelywith other team members to identify and implement new methods of digitising thePeople service, so that it operates as efficiently and responsively aspossible.
Cultureand Values
- Provide support for andco-ordinate employee engagement initiatives, so that the voice of employees isheard and appropriately acted upon.
- Support delivery of regularand varied employee surveys and assist with analysis of the results.
- Champion the corevalues in all People activities and ensure colleagues do the same.
Learning and Development
- Keep records of compulsorytraining, including safeguarding and health and safety at work to ensure it isundertaken by employees as required.
- Monitor the appraisaland personal development support processes across the organisation, ensure theyare carried out for all employees
- Ensure that personcentred onboarding and induction processes are consistently and effectivelyimplemented to support employee retention.
- Support managers inarranging training to meet identified needs.
- Record attendance attraining and produce summary reports when required.
- Assist with evaluationof training so that feedback improves the learning experience.
- Provide support withexternal accreditation initiatives, including Investors in People.
Recruitment
- Provide support to theInternal Recruiter including carrying out pre-employment checks efficiently.
- Provide support withwriting and maintaining accurate job descriptions for all roles.
- Deal with speculativeemployment enquiries and provide vacancy information to potential candidates.
- Liaise with candidatesas required and answer any queries they may have.
- Provide support withrecruitment events including open days and careers events.
- Support a smoothtransition from recruitment through to induction and probationary reviews.

Person Specification Experience- Working with electronic records (during education or at work)
- Carrying out administrative tasks (during education or work)
- Utilising Microsoft Office (during education or work)
- Achieving deadlines, managing simultaneous tasks and objectives
- Working with confidential information
- GCSE numeracy and literacy minimum
- Evidence of commitment to own and others continuing personal development committed to achieving at least CIPD Level 3
