People & Culture Advisor

We are looking for a people focused and practical People & Culture Advisor to join our team in Mallow. This is a varied, hands-on role where you will work closely with managers and employees, provide day-to-day HR guidance and help deliver a positive employee experience across the business.
This opportunity would suit someone with experience in an HR Generalist or HR Advisor role who enjoys balancing employee support, HR processes and wider People & Culture initiatives in a busy operational environment.
Provide practical HR advice and support to managers and employees.
Support employee relations matters, including absence, probation, performance, grievances and disciplinary processes.
Assist managers with employee meetings and ensure accurate documentation and records are maintained.
Coordinate recruitment, offers, contracts, onboarding and probation reviews.
Support return-to-work, welfare and absence review meetings, including liaison with occupational health providers where appropriate.
Assist with performance reviews, learning initiatives and manager development.
Support employee engagement activities, communications, surveys and action plans.
Maintain confidential employee records, HR systems and key people reports.
Process starters, leavers and contractual changes, and support accurate payroll preparation.
Help implement policies, systems and continuous improvement projects.
Previous HR or People & Culture experience, ideally in a generalist or advisor capacity.
A good understanding of core HR processes and employee relations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to support managers.
Excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Sound judgement and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.
Strong Microsoft Office skills.
A collaborative, employee-focused and solutions-oriented approach.
It would be an advantage if you have: a relevant HR or CIPD qualification, knowledge of Irish employment legislation, experience using HR systems or supporting employee relations cases, and experience in a fast-paced, multi-department environment.
