This role works alongside the UI People Team to provide an effective service to internal and external stakeholders.

Advice and Guidance- Be the first point of contact for HR queries such as terms and conditions, HR policies and procedures, and pay.
- Support managers from start to finish on ER matters such as investigations, performance and/or conduct issues, disciplinaries and grievances.
- Support managers on absence management of employees including arranging occupational health needs, unauthorised absence, long and short term sickness and managing absence under the Bradford Factor process.
- Provide and (at times design) training on HR matters as and when required.
- Support the HR Business Partner and at times lead on organisational change activities such as TUPEs, restructures and redundancies.
- Support the ULIS HR team in the implementation and delivery of the People strategy.
- Lead and/or support on any HR projects as required by the Pillar or Business at the time.
- Ensure that all payroll instructions are prepared, logged and checked in time for the monthly payroll run, including contractual variations, new starters, leavers, contractual benefits, and employee benefits.
- Provide sickness reports confirming paid and unpaid sickness for the monthly payroll run.
- Responsible for updating and managing the HR ER database.
- Run routine HR reports such as the monthly Bradford Factor report for the Pillar.
- Review and monitor key payroll reports such as maternity and National Minimum wage reports and action accordingly to maintain compliance.
- Update and maintain the HR system's records.
- Run and provide ad hoc HR reports as required by the Business Partner, Pillar, and/or Business.
- Carry out exit interviews to support retention plans.
- Support any administrative tasks related to the Pillar as and when required.
- Maintain and update process notes for all People Advisor duties.
- Ensure that all aspects of data protection and confidentiality are maintained at all times.
- Any other duties as and when required.
