We are looking for a Pensions & Payroll FinanceManager to join our finance team in Hemel Hempstead.

The Pensions &Payroll FinanceManager role:

Reporting to the Head ofTransactional Finance, you will provide robust, timely andinformative financial information and guidance to the Trustees ofthe pension scheme and serve as an important contact to theTrustees, Pensions Secretary, Payroll, and Finance teams.

This is a key role where theright individual can really influence the perception of finance anddemonstrate to the wider business the value and insight that can bederived from forward thinking, proactive management information

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Pension Scheme Trustee Reports& Statutory Accounts: Complete the reports andfinancial statements, including all relevant notes, ensuringcompliance with SORP.
  • Complete HMRCReturns and ONS Surveys: Ensure timely submissionwithin required deadlines.
  • Manage FinancialTransactions: Oversee the integrity of transactions,documentary support, posting, compilation, and maintenance ofportfolio pension scheme accounts, includinginvestments.
  • Provide FRS102Calculations: Deliver annual financial statementcalculations for companies with investments in thescheme.
  • Manage Life InsuranceSchemes: Handle the management and renewals of lifeinsurance schemes.
  • FinancialAccounting for Payroll: Ensure accurate accountingof payroll costs, including reconciliation of key balance sheetaccounts and accountability for correct deductions and payments tothird parties such as HMRC and employee benefitproviders.
  • Your profile

    • Pension schemeaccounting experience is essential;
    • Aqualified accountant (ACA or ACCA);
    • Experienced and comfortable in dealing directly with keystakeholders, auditors and other professionals at meetings, viatelephone calls and conferences and in written form.
