Trial Balance Consulting are working with a long-standing client to recruit an experienced Payroll Team Leader on a full time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key role, overseeing the delivery of a high-quality, large-scale payroll service that supports thousands of employees across multiple industry sectors. Responsibilities- Leading and motivating your payroll team
- Making sure payroll and pensions are processed accurately and on time
- Keeping everything compliant with legislation and policies
- Handling reconciliations and returns to tight deadlines
- Giving expert advice on payroll queries
- Spotting opportunities for smarter ways of working
- Supporting and guiding colleagues with your payroll expertise
To be successful in this role you will either hold a recognised payroll qualification or bring equivalent senior-level experience, with a strong understanding of payroll legislation, pension schemes, and terms and conditions. You'll have a solid background in managing high-volume, technology-enabled payrolls and will be confident in leading and motivating a team. Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with customers are essential, as is the drive to keep your knowledge up to date and continue developing professionally.
