Assistant Payroll Manager £50,000 - £55,000
Permanent Assistant Payroll Manager.
Job OverviewYou will oversee day-to-day payroll operations for a portfolio of clients, support and mentor junior members, and assist the payroll manager where needed.
Day to Day Responsibilities- Processing a portfolio of clients' payrolls from start to finish across various frequencies (weekly, biweekly and monthly)
- Identifying opportunities for payroll services and promoting them internally and externally
- Supporting junior members of the team, mentoring and advising, assisting with appraisals and one-to-ones
- Experience with processing clients' payrolls
- High level of computer literacy (MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- High level of organisational ability; ability to work to tight deadlines and targets
- Good communication and customer service skills
- CIPP Payroll Qualification or equivalent
- Experience using multiple payroll platforms
- A fundamental understanding of UK payroll legislation
- Experience with Excel and spreadsheets
