Payroll Manager

The Abingdon Foundation is looking to appoint an exceptional and experienced Payroll Manager to join our friendly HR team. The Foundation comprises two schools: Abingdon School and Abingdon Preparatory School, as well as Abingdon School Enterprises.
Responsibilities- Prepare the annual salaries budget.
- Day to day management of the school's payroll, staff pay records, and pay and benefits matters.
- Liaise with external payroll partners (payroll bureau and pension providers) during the month.
- Manage pay and benefits related communications and administration with staff.
- Assist the Financial Controller with analysis of payroll costs.
- Responsible for monthly forecasting and annual budgeting.
- Experience working in a payroll role with multiple pay scales and conditions of employment.
- Formal payroll qualification is essential.
- Advantage: experience working in schools and involvement in system implementation projects, but not essential.
- Flexible, positive, proactive team player with excellent attention to detail, organisational and communication skills, and the ability to build effective working relationships.
