About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll and Benefits Manager to take ownership of payroll and benefits administration across the UK, US, and potentially EU.
You will partner with our payroll providers and internal teams to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing and benefits delivery for all employees.
This role is critical in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time, our benefits are administered seamlessly, and we remain compliant with local tax and employment regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees in the UK, US, and future EU countries, in partnership with payroll providers.
- Collect, review, and input payroll data (new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, deductions, etc.) ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile payroll reports and coordinate approvals with Finance each pay cycle.
- Act as primary point of contact with payroll providers and monitor service levels.
- Stay informed of regulatory changes affecting payroll and benefits in all relevant jurisdictions.
- Manage employee benefits programs liaising with vendors and employees as needed.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits matters.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance to support audits and reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements for payroll and benefits operations.
- Proven experience managing payroll in the UK ( ideally for multi-country operations such as US and EU would be a plus)
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation and benefits in the UK.
- Willingness to support other tasks reasonably requested as part of our collaborative team.
- Experience working with payroll and benefits vendors.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems, HiBob and ADP are a plus.
- Professional certifications in payroll (e.g., CIPP, CPP) are a plus.

Salary Range: £45,000 - £60,000 depending on experience.
