Job Description

We are here for our patients eachday. We've seen it all - new borns, oldage, we're experts in the human body and human emotions. We take thousands of calls every year, butwe never panic. We also see people at the best and most difficult times oftheir lives. We don't do it for thethank you - we do it because we want to make a difference.

Being a Patient ServicesCo-ordinator isn't a normal 9-5 customer service or reception role. We're helping to mend lives. We keep the music playing. We say hello and we wave goodbye. We are Danebridge Medical Practice.

Main duties of the job

Do you have exceptionalcustomer service and administration experience gained in any sector? We are passionate about what we do and wewant to hear from you. This is a verydemanding and busy role, but one where you have the opportunity to make life abit better. If you have experience inprimary care or the health service, with knowledge of EMIS, DocMan andprescriptions that's an added bonus.

Were not a 9-5 serviceand successful candidates must be able to work on a Monday, Tuesday andWednesday from 9.30am 7.00pm; Thursday 9.30am 6.30pm; and Friday 8.30am12.30pm.

Job responsibilities

The key focus of thisrole is to provide a professional, efficient and customer focused service topatients, doctors, colleagues and visitors, through the provision of a highquality administrative activities for Danebridge Medical Practice.

To be the first pointof contact for patients contacting the Practice and to portray the Practice inthe highest possible professional basis; ensuring that enquiries from patientsare efficiently and courteously handled to the mutual satisfaction of the Practiceand patient.

Person Specification Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the written and oral form to develop and maintain constructive relationships with people internal and external to the Practice
  • Ability to be self motivated and work co-operatively as part of a team. Managing ones own time with a minimum of supervision to meet agreed deadlines
  • Attention to detail focused with an ability to produce written work to a high standard
  • Influencing and decision making skills
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Continuous Professional Development
Experience
  • Extensive experience of working within an customer facing administrative role providing a professional, effective, and quality service
  • Experience of providing exceptional customer service on the telephone in a high volume service environment
  • Experience of using databases, including: input, analysis and presentation of information
  • Experience of working within a Medical Practice
  • Experience of using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Internet Explorer for a range of different purposes
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level II (or equivalent) in Business Administration or Customer Service or a willingness to work towards
  • GCSE Grade 4 or above (or equivalent) in English Language and mathematics
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
