Job Description

Patient Receptionist - Immediate start. We are looking for a professional and customer-focused Patient Receptionist to support our client based in Oxford.

This role is pivotal in creating a positive experience for patients and visitors, providing front-of-house support, and ensuring administrative processes are completed accurately and efficiently.

The successful candidate will be a confident communicator with excellent organisational skills, capable of balancing reception duties with a variety of administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.

This is an on-going temporary role which may be extended.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all reception activities, including greeting visitors and handling incoming calls.
  • Support patients with paperwork, appointment queries, transport arrangements, and general assistance in the waiting area.
  • Register patient arrivals, maintain accurate records, and ensure all required documentation is completed and filed correctly.
  • Coordinate administrative tasks including post, purchasing, stock ordering, and general support.
  • Monitor and follow up on unresolved appointments and record feedback, concerns, and compliments using internal systems.
  • Carry out daily operational and safety checks, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and always site security.
  • Build positive working relationships with colleagues and external partners, contributing to a collaborative team environment.

  • Previous experience within reception, customer service, administration, or healthcare environments.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident using computer systems and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.

Working hours: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

Pay Rate: £13.35p/h, Weekly Paid.
