Job Description
Job Overview

This position is based at University College London Hospital and is part of the Patient Enquiries and Booking Team. The role involves handling a high volume of patient queries across telephone and digital channels, processing referrals, booking and coordinating appointments, and providing clear and compassionate information to support patients through their care journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to patient, carer, referrer and healthcare professional enquiries via telephone and digital channels.
  • Process referrals and book appointments following established administrative procedures.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to manage patient pathways and ensure accurate data handling.
  • Resolve queries in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of all interactions.
  • Support patient experience by delivering high quality, responsive service.
Person Specification Knowledge and Qualifications
  • GCSE level or equivalent, with at least Grade C in English and Maths.
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures and data protection requirements.
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Customer Service or Healthcare Support Services.
Experience
  • Experience working in a non routine administrative environment and handling unpredictable situations.
  • Experience in a comprehensive administrative setting.
Working Arrangements

Flexible working options are available within service hours of 08:00 to 18:00. Some flexibility to work shifts is required.
