Overview

Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Project Support Officer for the Patient Engagement Portal (PEP) Programme within the Digital Services team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support the delivery of the DrDoctor and Patients Know Best platforms across the Humber Health Partnership, helping to revolutionise how patients interact with our services. The successful candidate will collaborate with key individuals across Care Groups, Patient Services, and Digital Services, gaining valuable insight into clinical and administrative pathways and how digital solutions can enhance experiences for both patients and staff.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide comprehensive administrative and project support to the PEP Programme team.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and manage project documentation.
  • Track project actions, risks, and issues, ensuring timely updates and resolution.
  • Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Support the implementation of digital tools that enhance patient experience and improve service efficiencies.

Job responsibilities
  • Experience in a project or administrative support role, ideally within the NHS or digital health setting.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and project tracking tools.
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach with a passion for digital transformation in healthcare.
Person Specification Education/ Qualifications
  • Good standard of general education to GCSE level or equivalent, including Maths and English Language.
  • Advanced ECDL or equivalent
  • Evidence of academic achievement preferably to Diploma level or equivalent
  • Advanced ECDL or equivalent
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience working within a Project, IT or Admin support environment
  • Proven experience of file management, planning and reporting
  • Experience of Microsoft Office products
  • Team Working
  • Proven ability to take and produce accurate minutes of meetings
  • Able to work unsupervised; plan and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines
  • Working knowledge of the data protection act and security and confidentiality issues
  • Experience of Project Support within an NHS setting
  • Using Hospital Patient Administration and/or Clinical Systems
  • Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience of using MS Project, Visio and Access
  • Evidence of involvement with NHS IT systems projects
  • Knowledge of NHS IT processes
