Patient Administrator - 21 hours per week.
With the ever increasing number of treatments and care we give to patients, our professional and detailed Administration department needs an additional Administrator to join and assist the Patient Administration team at our Emerson's Green hospital, Bristol.

We have 2 part time vacancies of 21 hours per week with fixed office days of Monday and Friday 09 00 each week. The remaining days can be flexible.
What you'll be doing- Support the clinical team and patients by managing booking availability for varied consultations, assessments, treatments and theatre sessions.
- Monitor booking capacity and report any unfilled availability to the Patient Services Lead.
- Identify and register new patients, manage their referrals, and provide accurate information regarding appointments.
- Maintain contact with patients on waiting lists, offering earlier or newly available appointments and communicating expectations prior to appointments.
- Prepare detailed, up to date booking lists and issue them in a timely manner to the outpatient clinic and theatres.
- Essential: Satisfactory Occupational Health clearance for the role specified.
- Good attendance record.
- Satisfactory relevant CRB clearance.
- Good general education, GCSE/O'level standard including English or equivalent.
- NVQ in Business Administration would be advantageous.
- Substantial reception experience in Healthcare or service sector.
- Experienced team worker.
- Experience of dealing with the public in person and by phone.
- Excellent telephone technique.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle difficult situations calmly.
- Good keyboard and computer skills.
- Proficiency using Patient Administration System (PAS) or equivalent.
- Conversant with Microsoft Office packages.
- Numerate and literate.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Ability to work flexibly within the needs of the service.
- Evidence of ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to plan and prioritise own workload when under pressure.
- Ability to use initiative and plan workload flexibly.
- Relevant administrative experience - Choose and Book experience and PBX/Switchboard experience would be advantageous.
- Customer Care Training.
- Salary: £14,722.98 p.a.
