As a Pastry Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in our culinary team, leading the pastry kitchen with confidence and flair.
Responsibilities- Leading and mentoring a team of pastry chefs to ensure high standards and continuous development.
- Overseeing the preparation and presentation of all pastry items, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Managing the day to day operations of the pastry kitchen, including order of service and mise en place.
- Collaborating with the Executive Chef to create new and exciting dessert menus using fresh, high quality ingredients.
- Maintaining inventory and ensuring efficient stock control and ordering processes.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a high end restaurant or hotel setting.
- A genuine love for food and a desire to create innovative and delicious pastries.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing, developing, and motivating a team.
- High standard of food knowledge and technical pastry skills.
- Excellent organisational abilities to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.
