A secondary school in Brent is looking for a Pastoral Support Assistant to support pupils who need help with behaviour, attendance, confidence and school engagement. This role sits between behaviour, pastoral care and keeping pupils engaged in school. The role is suited to someone who can build relationships quickly while still holding clear boundaries. The assistant will be working with pupils who may need mentoring, emotional support or help staying on track during the school day.

Responsibilities

• Pastoral and behaviour support for secondary-aged pupils
• Help pupils manage routines, expectations and relationships
• Collaborate with teachers, pastoral leads and safeguarding staff
• Support pupils before issues become bigger problems

Qualifications

• Experience in schools, youth work, mentoring, behaviour support or pastoral care
• Calm and professional communication
• Confidence working with pupils who may push boundaries
• Reliability, maturity and consistency

Pay and Location

Pay: £95 - £115 per day

Location: Brent (NW10 4LX)
