Pastoral Lead

Potterspury Lodge School, Towcester

37.5 hours per week, Term Time

Up to £28,000 salary

The School -

Cambian Potterspury Lodge School is a special school that offers fantastic opportunities for up to 64 children and young people with a primary diagnosed of Autism and who have an EHCP. The school is well very well subscribed with a strong pipeline and our educational offer is valued by local authorities and the parents/carers we serve.

The school is also set in a stunning location near Towcester, Northamptonshire, and the internal environment creates an inspiring place of learning where young people receive the specialist education and multi-disciplinary care they need. Each young person is given an individually tailored and holistic programme of support, preparing them well for adulthood. Job Purpose:

To work as part of a team to promote a whole school approach to enhancing emotional health and wellbeing so that all children are able to access and benefit from the educational opportunities on offer.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Personal Development, behaviour and welfare of all students.

  • Coordinate pastoral and intervention systems, ensuring that appropriate strategies are implemented, monitored and reviewed
  • Support the senior leadership team in the care, support and guidance for all pupils, liaising with parents and all external professionals as appropriate
  • Work with and support staff to ensure that the behaviour policy and trauma-informed practices are consistently adhered to across the school
  • To monitor behaviour data and respond to the changing need of the students
  • To foster positive relationships between students creating an environment which does not tolerate bullying and discrimination
  • Ensuring that the school systems for rewards and sanctions are effective
