Year 6 Interventions Teacher

  • Location: Rossendale
  • Job Type: Part-time (4 or 5 mornings per week)
  • Salary: £90 per morning

We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Year 6 Teacher to join a fantastic and supportive primary school in the Rossendale area. This role involves delivering small-group interventions in Key Stage 2 (KS2). This is a great position for a confident KS2 Teacher seeking well-paid, focused intervention work with no planning requirements, starting from September 2026.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver small-group interventions to Year 6 students, focusing on enhancing their Maths and English skills.
  • Engage students in targeted activities based on pre-prepared lesson plans.
  • Monitor and assess the progress of each student, providing feedback and additional support as needed.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to ensure a cohesive learning experience for all students.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Strong experience in KS2, particularly in teaching Maths and English.
  • Proven ability to engage and enhance student learning through interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
