Job Title: Part-Time Solicitor
Location: Mathie Lennox & Co., Market Chambers, Kilsyth, Glasgow G65 0AZ
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Part-time (3 days per week, exact days to be discussed)
Start Date - October 2025 (preferred)

We are a friendly, well-established high street law firm serving the local community of Kilsyth and the surrounding towns with a reputation for providing accessible, professional legal advice. Our small team is supportive, collaborative, and committed to client care.
The Role:
We are seeking a qualified solicitor to join our practice on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will also be expected to work alongside our Cashier in a financial management capacity. The role is ideal for someone looking for a flexible working arrangement within a small, close-knit team in a thriving law firm.
Areas of Work Include:
- Conveyancing (residential and/or commercial)
- Wills & Administration of Estates
- Family Law
- General Civil Litigation
We are open to candidates with experience in one or more of these areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a varied caseload with minimal supervision
- Providing clear, practical legal advice to clients
- Drafting legal documents and correspondence
- Liaising with clients, courts, and third parties
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm procedures
- Assisting in the financial compliance within the firm
Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor (holding a valid Practicing Certificate with the Law Society of Scotland (or capable of obtaining one with at least 2 years PQE (preferred)
- Experience in high street legal practice (preferred)
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- A friendly, approachable attitude with a team spirit
