Description: Ellington Public Schools is seeking applications for a part time morning kindergarten aide at Windermere School.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Successful candidates will work as a program aide in the kindergarten class under the direction of a certified teacher. Candidates may also supervise lunch and recess periods. This position requires the candidate to work with young children ages 5 6, along with both clerical and instructional duties. Must have good organizational skills, the ability to multi task, and work to timely schedules. Confidentiality is critical. Must possess excellent inter personal skills. The successful candidates will be required to submit to a state and national criminal history check, as well as a DCF review as required by Connecticut state statute. Previous work in a school atmosphere is a plus.

Working Conditions

This position is Monday - Friday. Candidates will work each day that school is in session. This is a no till position. The starting hourly rate for the school year is $17.43.
