Role Details

  • Location: Orchards Manor School, PE34 3HT
  • Salary: £16,536 per annum £13.25 per hour
  • Hours: 24 hours per week 3 days (days to be confirmed)
  • Contract: Permanent 52 weeks per year
  • Start: January 2026

The Role

We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Grounds & Maintenance Assistant to help keep our brand-new specialist school safe, tidy, and welcoming.

You'll take pride in maintaining the grounds, carrying out general upkeep and minor repairs, and supporting health and safety checks - helping create an environment where our pupils can thrive.

You'll Need

  • Experience in grounds maintenance, caretaking, or similar
  • Confidence using hand tools and basic machinery
  • Awareness of health & safety and COSHH
  • A practical, dependable approach

About us

Orchards Manor School, part of Options Autism, is a brand-new specialist school opening near King's Lynn in Downham Market. The school will cater for up to 72 pupils aged 5 to 16 with a variety of complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

Orchards Manor is an independent specialist school where the curriculum is thoughtfully designed around the specific needs of autistic learners and those with related needs. Education is supported by a fully integrated on-site clinical team, ensuring a holistic, person-centred approach to learning and wellbeing.

For over 19 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.
