Hook Norton Veterinary Group is a proud, independent, and well established practice with expertise in small animal, equine, and farm care. We have introduced an on site coffee van serving employees, clients, visitors, and members of the local community from a unit located within the practice grounds.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Running the coffee van independently during your shifts, including opening, setting up, and closing down safely
  • Preparing and serving high quality hot and cold drinks, with full barista training provided
  • Preparing simple fresh food, snacks, and cakes in line with food hygiene standards
  • Providing a friendly, professional service to employees, clients, and visitors
  • Handling payments, cashing up, basic administration, and keeping the unit clean, organised, and well stocked
  • Monitoring stock levels, completing weekly fresh stock shopping, and placing small orders when needed
  • Following food safety, health and safety, and lone working procedures, using initiative to manage busy periods and unexpected issues
What We're Looking For
  • A warm, engaging, and approachable person with ideally at least 1 year of hospitality, café, or customer service experience
  • Honest, trustworthy, and confident working independently, with the ability to prioritise tasks and make sensible decisions
  • Comfortable preparing simple food safely and maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and organisation
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to stay calm and professional during busy periods while following procedures carefully
  • Keen to help grow a thriving local business and build customer loyalty
  • Own transport due to our rural location and limited public transport options
  • Able to manage lifting and moving heavy items and stock at times
  • All candidates will need to successfully clear a DBS check
What We Offer
  • Part time hours (approximately 2 days per week) with the opportunity for ad hoc extra hours
  • Full barista, food preparation and operational training with ongoing support
  • A friendly and supportive working environment within an established independent veterinary group
