Parent Board Member

Location: Remote

Salary: £13,000 per annum

Closing Date: 03 December 2025

As a Parent Board Member, you'll play a vital role in guiding the company's strategic direction, ensuring strong governance, and championing their values and vision: "for everyone to have the opportunity to have a place that they can call home."

You'll work closely with the Chair and Chief Officer Group, contributing your expertise to support the company's performance, compliance, and stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor governance and regulatory compliance. Oversee organisational performance and continuous improvement. Build effective relationships with executive leadership. Represent the company externally and promote its achievements. Apply your expertise to add value across business and social dimensions. What They're Looking For:

Proven strategic leadership or governance experience. Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience in organisational development and change. Independent thinker with constructive challenge skills. Collaborative team player. Strategic thinker with sound judgement. Customer-focused and values-driven. Effective communicator across diverse audiences. Risk-aware and commercially astute. Role model for good governance and professional conduct. Passionate about equality, diversity, and service excellence. Educated to a degree level or equivalent. Treasury skills and a finance qualification. A commitment of approximately 18 days per year.

Desirable:

Senior-level finance experience. Understanding of regulated sectors. Senior audit or legal experience. Track record of service improvements with positive customer impact. Appointment to this role will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check, satisfactory references and possession of a valid Right to Work document.

Although the organisation operates remotely, there is an expectation of occasional travel, including attendance at scheme visits and other in-person engagements as required.
